Farmingdale State - 8, NYU-Poly - 1
Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's tennis team earned an 8-1 victory over NYU-Poly in a Skyline Conference match on Saturday afternoon. Three seniors, Alex Bessarabov (Lindenhurst, N.Y.), Jack Eichler (Woodbury, N.Y.) and Ryan Musalo (Massapequa Park, N.Y.), were honored for Senior Day as they were each playing in their final regular season home match.
In doubles play, Bessarabov and junior Steven Ferrantello (Dix Hills, N.Y.) earned an 8-5 victory in the second position and juniors Judd Bahoui (Long Beach, N.Y.) and Bradley Smith (Mineola, N.Y.) picked up an 8-4 win in the third slot.
The Rams (7-0, 4-0) swept all six singles matches over the Fighting Blue Jays (7-3, 2-3).
Farmingdale State next will travel to Sage for a Skyline match on Sunday, April 14th at noon.
