Skyline Releases Men's Tennis Report #7

- Joe Passarella named Player of the Week -


Clifton Park, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the seventh Men's Tennis report for the 2011 season this afternoon, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics.

Senior Joe Passarella (Flushing, N.Y.) was named the Skyline Conference Player of the Week for men's tennis. Passarella won a pair of matches at No. 2 singles and won both of his doubles matches from the first flight as Farmingdale State clinched the Skyline regular season crown with victories over Sage (8-1) and St. Joseph's (7-2). Joe earned a 6-2, 6-1 win versus Sage and a 6-2, 6-3 decision over St. Joseph's. This is the second time this season Passarella has earned Skyline Player of the Week honors.

Freshman Christian Bormann (Huntington, N.Y.) was named to the Skyline Conference Player of the Week Honor Roll. Bormann went 2-0 at #1 doubles and 1-1 at first singles as the Rams notched wins over Sage (8-1) and St. Joseph's (7-2).
