Skyline Releases Men's Tennis Report #5
- Alex Bessarabov named Rookie of the Week -
Clifton Park, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the
fifth Men's Tennis report for the 2010 season on Monday, April
12th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll
and Conference statistics.
Freshman Alex Bessarabov (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) was named Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week. Bessarabov went 2-0 in both singles and doubles play for the Rams. Bessarabov paired with Chris Genzmann for an 8-5 win at second doubles against Brooklyn before earning a 7-5, 6-3 win at second singles. Against Mount Saint Mary he moved up to first singles and won 6-2, 6-2. He also paired with Genzmann for an 8-3 win at first doubles. Bessarabov is now 5-3 in singles play.
