Men's Tennis Season Recap
Farmingdale, N.Y. - The men's tennis team,
competing for the first time on the varsity level, finished the
season with an overall record of 5-7, including 4-3 in Skyline
play. Their 4-3 conference record earned them the third seed in the
playoffs, where they were defeated by eventual conference champion
Mount Saint Mary College in the semifinals.
The team was led by freshmen Joe Passarella, who was named First
Team All-Skyline after finishing with a 7-4 record as the #1
singles player. Passarella was also named Rookie of the Year in the
Skyline Conference. Freshman Matt Kazmarczyk was named second team
All-Skyline Conference playing as the #2 singles player. Kazmarczyk
and Passarella formed the team’s #1 doubles unit as well.
Coach Adam Waterhouse will return his entire team next season as
Farmingdale State College looks to continue their winning ways into
just their second Varsity season.
