
Rams Blank Yeshiva for Skyline Win

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's soccer
team shutout Yeshiva University, 6-0, this afternoon in
Farmingdale, N.Y. The Rams won their fifth consecutive game and
improved to 6-8 overall, 4-2 in the Skyline Conference. The
Maccabees fell to 0-3, 0-1 in conference play.
Freshman forward Rafal Jurkowski (West Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon) gave Farmingdale State a 1-0 advantage 11:30 into the contest as he netted the pass from sophomore midfielder Mateusz Aniolowski (Copiague, N.Y./Copiague). Junior midfielder Nick Pancotto (Islip, N.Y./Islip) scored back-to-back goals in the 19th and 21st minute to extend Farmingdale's lead. Senior defender Mathew Arthurs* (Islip Terrace, N.Y./East Islip) scored the final goal of the first half, as the Rams took a 4-0 advantage into halftime.
Jurkowski and freshman midfielder Matt Kirby (West Islip, N.Y./West Islip) added one goal apiece in the second half, leading Farmingdale State to a 6-0 shutout victory.
The Rams next will host Centenary College in a non-conference matchup on Saturday, October 9th, at 1:00 p.m.
