RIVERDALE, N.Y. | Led by eight-point outings from senior attackers and co-captains Jake Wandle (Rocky Point, N.Y.) and Rob Varello (Smithtown, N.Y.), the Farmingdale State College men's lacrosse team fired 65 shots at Skyline Conference host College of Mount Saint Vincent en route to a 23-4 victory on Wednesday afternoon over the Dolphins (4-8, 0-4 Skyline).

Varello netted a game and season-high six goals to go with two assists for the Rams (11-3, 2-2), while Wandle increased the program's career scoring record to 199 points (120 g, 79 a) with his five-goal, three-assist output. Junior attacker Thomas Stock (Selden, N.Y.) collected three goals and as many assists on the day, with freshman James Hickis (Farmingdale, N.Y.) registering his first collegiate hat trick, as 10 different FSC players tallied goals on the afternoon. Junior face-off specialist Antonio Kaminskey (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) continued his torrid pace at the midfield dot, winning 22-of-25 draws (.880) to go with 16 ground balls, with freshman defender Joe Fazzingo (Bohemia, N.Y.) swiping a season-best three caused turnovers on a Rams defense that forced CMSV into 22 miscues.

Farmingdale State went 4-of-8 on extra-man opportunities, including a 3-of-5 effort in the opening half of play. After the first period ended level at 3-3, Wandle gave the visitors the lead for good in a 6v5 situation when he fired home a pass from Stock 2:09 into the resumption of play. Mount Saint Vincent's final goal on the afternoon came with 4:16 to go in the half to pull the home side to within a 7-4 count, before Varello's man-up marker 1:23 before halftime started a string of 16 unanswered Rams goals to close out the afternoon.

FSC sophomore starting goalie Dan Erler (Smithtown, N.Y.) made five saves in his 36-plus minutes of action, while senior Ryan Ott (Riverhead, N.Y.) and sophomore Nick Rizzuto (Bohemia, N.Y.) made two second-half saves apiece.

Head coach Sean Chamberlain's Rams will next welcome Skyline foe Manhattanville College to Farmingdale on Saturday afternoon, as the team will celebrate Senior Day prior to its 3:30 p.m. opening face-off.
