THROGGS NECK, N.Y. | Five different players from the Farmingdale State College men's lacrosse team scored goals Friday night at Reinhart Field, where the Rams (10-3, 1-2) fell in Skyline Conference action at SUNY Maritime College (9-5, 4-0) by a 14-5 margin.

Junior attacker Thomas Stock (Selden, N.Y.) and sophomore midfielder Stephen DiCarlo (Farmingdale, N.Y.) both registered a goal and one assist for FSC, while single goals were collected by freshman James Hickis (Farmingdale, N.Y.), senior Johnny McMahon (Albertson, N.Y.) and senior Rob Varello (Smithtown, N.Y.). Senior attack Jake Wandle (Rocky Point, N.Y.) handed out one assist on the evening. Junior face-off specialist Antonio Kaminskey (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) helped his side earn possession time with a 14-of-22 (.636) display at the midfield "x" to go with 10 ground balls, while senior defender Gino Luchetti (Farmingville, N.Y.) tallied four ground balls and two caused turnovers.

After the host Privateers opened the scoring 2:23 into play, Farmingdale State bagged the next three goals to hold a 3-1 edge early in the second period. DiCarlo leveled the contest at 1-all 52 seconds after Maritime's lid lifter, before Stock fed Varello with the go-ahead marker with 5:27 to go in the first frame. Stock's unassisted tally 2:50 into the second gave the visitors a two-goal edge.

From there, Maritime scored the next 10 goals of the contest to take control, with McMahon's man-up goal off a Wandle feed coming with 5:24 remaining in the third quarter. Hickis rounded out the Rams' scoring when he ripped the rope off DiCarlo's pass with 3:33 left on the night.

Head coach Sean Chamberlain's team is back in Skyline play Wednesday afternoon, when it travels to College of Mount Saint Vincent for a 4 p.m. face-off at Marillac Field in Riverdale, N.Y.
