FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State men's lacrosse program, in conjunction with the Long Island Metro Lacrosse Foundation (LIMLF), will be hosting 'The 2nd Annual Legends Game' on Saturday, April 8, against Skyline Conference opponent Merchant Marine.

The game will honor the lives of eight lacrosse legends: Richie Moran, Ron LaValle, Mike Bowler, Dennis Rogers, Arthur Allen, Jim Howell, Scott Huff, and Eric Sopracasa.

LIMLF is a not-for-profit organization comprised of volunteer members who work throughout Long Island and the New York Metro area to improve and promote the sport of lacrosse.

Farmingdale State will hold a pre-game ceremony to honor the Lacrosse Legends beginning at 12:20 p.m. so be sure to arrive early! The game is scheduled for a 1:15 p.m. opening faceoff.

Players from both FSC and USMMA will wear custom jerseys to honor the Legends; raffles will be held and donations accepted.

What are your donations to LIMLF used for?

We help improve, promote, and grow the sport of lacrosse. Some of our accomplishments include but are not limited to equipment and monetary donations to underprivileged youth programs through our Outreach program, provide awards and recognition for athletes in your local community, scholarships for high school boys' and girls' players, and maintenance of the 9/11 memorial we sponsor, which is located at Farmingdale State College. More detail about what LIMLF does can be found on its website at www.limetrolax.org.

Any amount is helpful as it will support lacrosse in the Long Island metropolitan region. A $5, $25, $50, or $100 donation goes a long way toward making our game better. Any monetary donation in any amount is greatly appreciated and is tax deductible.
