LA PLUME, Pa. | Eleven different players from the Farmingdale State College men's lacrosse team scored goals Tuesday afternoon, including five by senior midfielder Jack Gilbride (E. Moriches, N.Y.) and a seven-point outing by senior attacker Jake Wandle (Rocky Point, N.Y.) -- who tied the program's career points record in the process -- as the visiting Rams tied a program record with their ninth-consecutive win with a 23-4 victory at Keystone College.

Farmingdale State (9-1) ties the nine-game winning streak that was set over the course of the COVID-shortened 2020 (six) and start of the 2021 (three) seasons.

Wandle (2 g, 5a) now has 186 points in his Rams career with 112 goals and 74 assists, and is tied for the FSC career points mark with Joe Meola (2004-08; 98 g, 88 a).

Senior Rob Varello (Smithtown, N.Y.) and junior Thomas Stock (Selden, N.Y.) each reached the 100-career points milestones against the host Giants (0-7). Varello registered a hat trick and two assists, and now sits at 103 points (81 g, 22 a) in his two-plus seasons as a Ram. Stock (2 g, 3 a) has collected exactly 100 points in his 34-game FSC career, including 63 goals and 37 assists, and his 25 goals thus far in 2023 tie a career-high mark set one season ago.

Gilbride finished with a game-high eight points after dishing out three assists, with junior Kyle Kolano (Babylon, N.Y.; 3 a) and freshman James Hickis (Farmingdale, N.Y.; 1 a) each netting twice on the day. Freshman JP Boreshesky (Nesconset, N.Y.) tied Gilbride, Stock and Kolano with a game-best three helpers, and tied for the team lead with three caused turnovers in the riding game, along with senior defender Gino Luchetti (Farmingville, N.Y.). Junior face-off specialist Antonio Kaminskey (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) won 14-of-19 draws at the midfield "x" to go with nine ground balls, while goalies Nick Rizzuto (So.; Bohemia, N.Y.) and Ryan Ott (Sr.; Riverhead, N.Y.) combined for 13 saves in the Farmingdale State cage -- including a career-high eight stops from Ott in his second half of action.

The first seven goals of the game went the Rams way over 10-plus minutes of action, with Stock bagging a pair to go with an assist while Gilbride and Wandle each had one goal and two assists during the stretch.

Gilbride and Varello finished off their hat tricks at 9:22 and 5:30 of the second period, respectively, as the Rams took a 16-3 lead into halftime.

On the day, the Rams were 2-for-4 in man-up situations, including a pair of goals on a three-minute penalty, held a 49-25 edge in shots and cleared the ball at a 20-of-24 clip (.833).

Head coach Sean Chamberlain's Farmingdale State squad will kick off Skyline Conference play Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m., when it plays host to U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in the Legends Cup game. The Legends Cup is hosted by USA Lacrosse's Long Island Metro Lacrosse Foundation on an annual basis, and this year will honor eight legendary figures in the Long Island lacrosse scene: Richie Moran; Ron LaValle; Mike Bowler; Dennis Rogers; Arthur Allen; Jim Howell; Scott Huff; and Eric Sopracasa.
