Five Rams Named All-Conference; Haggerty Tabbed Skyline Offensive Player of the Year

New York, N.Y. - The eight Skyline Conference head men's lacrosse coaches have cast their ballots for the 2021 All-Conference team and Farmingdale State senior attack Terrence Haggerty (Centerport, N.Y.) was named the Offensive Player of the Year.

Along with Haggerty, senior midfielder John McMahon (West Babylon, N.Y.) was also named First Team All-Conference, while sophomore attack Jake Wandle (Rocky Point, N.Y.), senior midfielder Corey McMahon (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) and junior defender Jack Livingston (Farmingdale, N.Y.) each earned a spot on the Second Team. In addition, junior midfielder Kyle Josefson (Holbrook, N.Y.) was named to the All-Sportsmanship team.

Haggerty, a preseason honorable mention All-American, led the Skyline Conference in goals (43), goals per game (4.78), assists (15), points (58), points per game (6.44), man-up goals (6) and shots (119). He also ranked fifth in assists per game (1.67) and picked up 17 ground balls. In the NCAA, Haggerty ranked eighth in goals per game, 13th for points per game and 43rd in man-up goals.

J McMahon led the team with 58 ground balls, ranked second in goals (20), face-offs (62-for-100), man-up scores (3) and shots (50) and fourth in points (26). In the Skyline, he ranked first in ground balls, third in ground balls per game (6.44) and face-off percentage (.620), fourth in face-offs won, fifth for goals and points and eighth for goals per game (2.22). In the NCAA, he ranked 49th in face-off percentage and 73rd in ground balls per game. On Apr 27th vs USMMA, McMahon matched an NCAA record with a 1.000 FO% as he was 16-for-16 (min. 15 attempts).

Wandle ranked third on the team in points (28), assists (12) and shots (49) and fourth for goals (14) and caused turnovers (5). In the Skyline, he ranked fourth in assists, sixth in points, eighth in shots, ninth for goals and assists per game (1.33) and 10th in goals per game (1.78). He helped lead an FSC offense to 16th in the NCAA in shot percentage (.350), 26th in scoring margin (8.22) and 35th in scoring offense (15.67).

C McMahon ranked second on the team in points (29), third in goals (18) and man-up scores (2) and fourth for assists (11) and shots (42). In the Conference, he ranked fifth in points, sixth in assists, seventh for goals, ninth in goals per game (2.00), 10th in assists per game (1.22) and 12th for points per game (3.22).

Livingston anchored an FSC defense that ranked 23rd in the Nation in scoring defense (7.44 GAA). He recorded 11 caused turnovers and picked up 16 ground balls while defending opponents' top scorers. He ranked seventh in the conference in caused turnovers and 15th for caused turnovers per game (1.22). Led the team to an .821 man-down defense percentage, a mark that ranked 25th in the NCAA.
