FSC Athletics Spring Update #5

New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the spring weekly report #5 on Tuesday, March 26th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics.

Men's Lacrosse Update (5-3, 0-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

In FSC's only game last week, the Rams defeated Calvin, 6-5, in double overtime. Freshman attack Jake Wandle (Rocky Point, N.Y.), who was named Skyline Rookie of the Week last week, sent home the game-winner with 1:46 left in double OT.

This week the men's lacrosse team will host Keystone in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.

 

Baseball Update (8-5, 1-1 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

After a 5-3 record in Florida on their annual spring break trip, the baseball team split with Merchant Marine in their Skyline Conference opening doubleheader.

This week Farmingdale State will play six games: Wednesday vs. Kean @ 3:00 p.m., Thursday at Ramapo @ 4:00 p.m., Friday (DH) at Yeshiva (at Overpeck Park - Palisades Park, NJ) @ 9:30 a.m. and Sunday (DH) at St. Joseph's-LI @ 11:00 a.m.

 

Women's Lacrosse Update (1-7, 0-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

The Rams played a pair of games in Englewood, Florida last week and fell to Western New England (19-13) before defeating Calvin (15-12).

Senior attack Jessica Spina (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) was named to the Honor Roll after recording a team-high nine points on three goals and six assists.

This week the women's lacrosse team will play two non-conference road games: Wednesday at Scranton @ 4:00 p.m. and Saturday at Kean @ 1:00 p.m.

 

Men's Golf Update

In their spring opener at Orange County National's Crooked Cat Course in Winter Garden, Florida, the men's golf team fell by 13 strokes to Luther College (319-306).

FSC has a week off and returns to action on Saturday, April 6th and Sunday, April 7th for the St. Joseph's-LI Spring Invitational at Bellport Country Club.

 

Softball Update (2-12, 2-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

The Rams returned home from the spring trip in Florida and swept Sarah Lawrence in their Skyline opener.

This week the softball team will host a pair of conference doubleheaders: Saturday vs. Old Westbury @ noon and Sunday vs. Yeshiva @ noon.

 

Men's Tennis Update (0-1, 0-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

The men's tennis team is slated to play two home matches this week: Wednesday vs. Yeshiva @ 5:00 p.m. and Saturday vs. Pratt @ 1:00 p.m.
