FSC Athletics Spring Update #3

New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the spring weekly report #3 on Monday, March 11th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics.

Baseball Update (2-1, 0-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

FSC opened the 2019 season with a doubleheader sweep of Lehman College. The Rams won the first game 6-2 and followed with a 2-1 victory in 11 innings in game two.

Senior pitcher Matthew Constantine (West Babylon, N.Y.) was named to the Honor Roll after starting and earning the win in game one by allowing two runs (zero earned) on six hits with three strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work.

The Rams will begin their Spring Trip games in Florida on Friday when they open against UMass-Boston at 11:30 a.m.

 

Men's Lacrosse Update (2-2, 0-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

In their lone game last week at Hartwick, Farmingdale State fell, 10-9, in triple overtime.

Junior midfielder John McMahon (West Babylon, N.Y.) was named to the Player of the Week Honor Roll. McMahon was 19-for-24 (79.2%) on faceoffs and picked up a school record 19 ground balls. He bested the previous record of 15 ground balls in a single game held since 2011.

This week FSC will play three home non-conference games: Sage on Tuesday @ 4:00 p.m., Cortland on Friday @ 7:00 p.m. and Alfred State on Saturday @ 2:30 p.m.

 

Women's Lacrosse Update (0-3, 0-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

The women's lacrosse team lost 11-1 versus Montclair State in their only game last week. Farmingdale State will play a pair of road non-conference games this week: Wednesday at New Paltz @ 4:00 p.m. and Saturday at Albright @ 1:00 p.m.

 

Men's Tennis Update (0-0, 0-0 Skyline)

The men's tennis match scheduled for this past Sunday at Manhattanville was postponed due to rain. This week FSC will face Baruch at the Alley Pond Tennis Center in Queens Village, N.Y. on Sunday @ 2:30 p.m.

 

Softball Update (0-0, 0-0 Skyline)

FSC will open the season at The Spring Games in Florida on Saturday. The Rams will play Ursinus at 9:30 a.m. and Plattsburgh State at 4:30 p.m.
