- Stalter named Player of the Week; Percival earns NJAC Track Athlete of the Week honors -


New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the spring weekly report #1 on Tuesday, February 26th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics. The New Jersey Athletic Conference released their Track, Field and Rookie Athletes of the Week for men's and women's indoor track.

Men's Lacrosse Update (1-0, 0-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

Farmingdale State opened 2019 with a 24-6 home non-conference victory over Mitchell College.

Junior midfielder Christian Stalter (Miller Place, N.Y.) was named the Skyline Conference Player of the Week. Stalter was 16-of-17 on faceoffs (.941 percentage) and picked up a game-high nine ground balls in the season-opening victory.

This week, the men's lacrosse team plays two road non-conference games: Wednesday at Manhattanville @ 6:00 p.m. and Saturday at Neumann @ 1:00 p.m.

 

Indoor Track Update - NJAC Men's Full Report     NJAC Women's Full Report

The Farmingdale State indoor track teams traveled to the New Balance Track & Field Center for the Armory Last Chance Qualifier this past week.

Junior Justin Percival (Melville, N.Y.) was named NJAC Track Athlete of the Week. Percival earned Track Athlete of the Week honors for the sixth time this season after he broke the school record and was the runner-up in the 60m in a time of 6.85. He surpassed Deshaun Thomas' mark of 6.86 set in 2010. Percival is currently in eighth place on the NCAA Division III National Qualifying List for the 60m.

FSC returns to action on Friday, March 1st and Saturday, March 2nd. The Rams will be competing at both the Atlantic Regionals and ECAC Championships.

 

Women's Lacrosse Update (0-1, 0-0 Skyline)

The women's lacrosse team played host to Marywood in their season opener last week and fell, 11-6. Junior midfielder Courtney Gendels (Wantagh, N.Y.) registered two goals and three assists for five points in the loss. This week the Rams will travel to Oneonta for a non-conference game on Friday at 3:00 p.m. 

 

Baseball Update (0-0, 0-0 Skyline)

The baseball team opens the 2019 season this week with a home non-conference doubleheader (7-innings) against Keene State on Saturday at noon (weather permitting).

 

Softball Update (0-0, 0-0 Skyline)

FSC kicks off their 2019 season at The Spring Games in Florida on Saturday, March 16th. The Rams will play Ursinus at 9:30 a.m. and Plattsburgh State at 4:30 p.m.

 

Men's Tennis Update (0-0, 0-0 Skyline)

The Farmingdale State men's tennis team will begin their spring season on Sunday, March 10th at Manhattanville @ 1:00 p.m.
