Farmingdale State Men's Lacrosse Takes Trip to 9/11 Tribute Museum

The Men's Lacrosse team trip to the 9/11 Tribute Museum and One World Trade Center

Farmingdale, N.Y. - On February 1st, the Farmingdale State men's lacrosse team opened their 2019 season with an educational trip to the 9/11 Tribute Museum in New York City. In lieu of a tough practice on the first day, Head Coach Sean Chamberlain and his staff took the student-athletes to the 9/11 Tribute Museum and One World Trade Center to provide quality team-bonding.

The team went on a guided tour through the museum and had the opportunity to speak with First Responder Steven Casquarelli. The team also toured the One World Trade Center, as well as the New York City Police Department Memorial, which recognizes Fallen Heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

Following their time at the Memorial Center, the players went on a networking lunch at Brother Jimmy's BBQ. The team had three guest speakers join them at the lunch; John Gagliardi, an entrepreneur and investor, Adam Marksberry, the Area Vice President at Gallagher Benefit Services, and Mike Poch, the First Vice President at CBRE Commercial Real Estate, each spoke to the student-athletes about life in the real world.

The Rams will open their 2019 regular season schedule this Saturday, February 23rd when they take on non-conference opponent Mitchell at noon.
