New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference has released the preseason coaches polls for the 2019 spring sports including baseball, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, men's tennis and softball.
The FSC baseball team is coming off a 2018 season where they posted a 24-14 overall record and 14-4 mark in the Skyline. The Rams entered the playoffs as the #1 seed but were eliminated in the double elimination portion of the Championship. Farmingdale State will open their 2019 season with a home doubleheader against Keene St. on Saturday, March 2nd at noon.

The men's lacrosse team was 10-8 overall and 3-3 in Skyline play in 2018. FSC entered the playoffs as the #4 seed and fell in the Semifinals to #1 Merchant Marine, 13-12 (F/OT). The Rams will open their season on Saturday, February 23rd when they host non-conference opponent Mitchell at noon.

The Rams open their 2019 season with a home non-conference game versus Marywood University on Saturday, February 23rd at 2:30 p.m.

The Farmingdale State men's tennis team was 4-10 overall and 4-3 in the conference in 2018. The Rams were the #4 seed for the Skyline Conference Championship and fell to the eventual champions Yeshiva, 5-1, in the Semifinals. FSC opens their season on Sunday, March 17th as they travel to play non-conference opponent Baruch at 2:30 p.m.

The softball team went 16-19 overall and 11-5 in the Skyline last season and earned the third seed for the conference playoffs. After defeating #6 St. Joseph's-Brooklyn in the First Round to advance to the double elimination portion of the tournament, Farmingdale State fell to both #2 St. Joseph's-L.I. and #4 Mount Saint Vincent. Top-seeded Mount Saint Mary would go on to be the eventual champions. FSC will open the 2019 season at The Spring Games in Kissimmee, Florida. The Rams first play Ursinus and Plattsburgh on Saturday, March 16th.
