Kings Point, N.Y. - With 2:14 remaining in overtime of the Skyline Conference Men's Lacrosse Semifinals, Merchant Marine senior attack Tucker Dodson (Charleston, S.C.) scored the game-winning goal to lead the top-seeded Mariners to a 13-12 victory over #4 Farmingdale State this evening in Kings Point, N.Y.

Leading 6-5 with 5:23 remaining in the third, Merchant Marine (12-2) extended the advantage to two on a Nick Treon (Danville, Penn.) goal off the pass from Michael Rodriguez (Coronado, Calif.). The Rams (10-8) quickly answered with back-to-back goals from junior midfielders Conor McAvoy (East Setauket, N.Y.) and James Ragland (Seaford, N.Y.) to even the score at 7-7 with 3:45 left in the quarter.

After a Pat Coll (Clifton Park, N.Y.) score with 8:42 remaining in regulation put the Mariners on top 11-9, FSC sophomore midfielder Dylan Fitzgerald (Farmingdale, N.Y.) and McAvoy tallied goals over the next 6:04 to tie the game at 11-11. Farmingdale State later took the lead by one, 12-11, with 1:29 on the clock as McAvoy recorded his third goal of the night.
