New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the spring weekly report #6 on Monday, April 2nd, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics.

Men's Tennis Update (1-4, 1-1 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

In two matches last week, the men's tennis team went 1-1 with a 9-0 victory over Sarah Lawrence and an 8-1 loss to Baruch.

Freshman Chris Molchan (Mattituck, N.Y.) was named Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week. He opened the week with a come-from-behind, three-set triumph (3-6, 7-6, 10-7) at No. 6 singles versus Baruch and one day later in conference action against Sarah Lawrence, emerged victorious at the No. 4 flight with scores of 6-4 and 6-1.

This week FSC is slated to play four matches: Tuesday vs. Merchant Marine @ 6:00 p.m., Thursday vs. Hunter @ 4:30 p.m. and Saturday at Oneonta @ 1:00 p.m. and vs. Oswego (at Oneonta) @ 4:00 p.m.

 

Men's Lacrosse Update (6-4, 1-1 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

Farmingdale State was 2-0 last week with non-conference wins over both Western Connecticut (12-6) and Keystone (21-4).

Sophomore attack AJ Sandorfi (Lynbrook, N.Y.) was named to the Honor Roll after leading the team in points (11) and assists (9) last week. In the win at Western Connecticut, Sandorfi tallied one goal and had a game-high five assists and in the victory at Keystone, he scored one goal and recorded a game-high four assists.

The Rams will travel to Merchant Marine on Saturday at noon for their only game this week.

 

Women's Lacrosse Update (1-6, 0-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

FSC was 1-1 last week after a 16-6 road win at Western Connecticut and a 16-11 home loss to Kean. The Rams will play two games this week: Tuesday at Ramapo @ 4:00 p.m. and Saturday vs. Merchant Marine @ noon.

 

Baseball Update (11-6, 3-1 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

The baseball team was 1-3 last week with their victory coming in the first game of the doubleheader versus St. Joseph's-Brooklyn.

Junior pitcher Logan Hicks (Ekron, KY) claimed a spot on the Honor Roll after tossing the final 4.1 innings in the 9-8 game one victory against St. Joseph's-Brooklyn, allowing no runs, three hits and striking out two.

The week FSC is scheduled to play five games: Tuesday vs. Baruch (at Westchester CC) @ 3:30 p.m., Saturday at Purchase (DH) @ 11:00 a.m. and Sunday vs. Old Westbury (DH) @ noon.

 

Softball Update (2-10, 0-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

Due to inclement weather, the softball team did not have any games last week. This week Farmingdale State will play two doubleheaders: Thursday vs. New Jersey City @ 3:00 p.m. and Saturday at Old Westbury @ noon.

 

Men's Golf Update

The men's golf team had last week off and will travel to Forest Hill Field Club in Bloomfield, N.J. for the NYU Spring Invitational on Saturday & Sunday. First round action on Saturday begins at 1:30 p.m. 

 

Outdoor Track Update

The outdoor track teams kick off the season on Friday & Saturday at the TCNJ Invitational in Ewing, N.J.
