Farmingdale, N.Y. - The men's lacrosse team finished 5-4 in Skyline Conference action and entered the playoffs as the #4 seed. After defeating #5 Kean, 16-7, in the First Round, the Rams met #1 Montclair State in the Semifinals and fell, 10-5. Farmingdale State finished the season with a 12-6 overall record.

FSC had three All-Skyline selections this year. Freshman attack Ryan Wieczorek (West Islip, N.Y.) and freshman defender Justin Napolitano (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) earned First Team honors, while senior midfielder Mike Curry (Melville, N.Y.) was named to the Second Team.

In addition to their First Team selections, Wieczorek was named the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year and both Wieczorek and Napolitano earned ECAC Second Team honors.

This season, Wieczorek broke the school record and led Farmingdale State in goals with 69. He also held the team lead for points (82) and man-up scores (13), was second in game-winning goals (3), and third for assists (13). Wieczorek tied the FSC single-game record with nine goals in the First Round playoff game against Kean and led all of Division III in man-up goals, ranked fifth in goals per game and 32nd for points per game.

Napolitano caused a team-high 48 turnovers and was second on FSC with 59 ground balls. He anchored a defense that was fourth in the Nation in caused turnovers per game and 52nd for scoring defense. Napolitano led the conference and was 12th in the country for caused turnovers per game.

Curry led the team in assists with 25 and was third in both goals scored (28) and points (53). He picked up 27 ground balls and recorded one game-winning goal on the year.

Senior attack Tyler Rifice (Bohemia, N.Y.) tallied 38 goals and 25 assists for 63 points, while senior midfielder Stephen White (Copiague, N.Y.) scored 22 goals for FSC.

In goal, senior Brendan Schade (Holbrook, N.Y.) totaled 152 saves and an 8.80 GAA.

Farmingdale State had six graduates this year.
