Men's Lacrosse has Three All-Conference Honorees; Wieczorek Named Rookie of the Year

New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference announced the 2017 Men's Lacrosse All-Conference Teams after voting was conducted by the league's 10 head coaches.

FSC freshman attack Ryan Wieczorek (West Islip, N.Y.) was named First Team All-Conference and the Skyline Rookie of the Year, while freshman defender Justin Napolitano (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) earned First Team honors. Senior midfielder Mike Curry (Melville, N.Y.) tallied Second Team All-Conference honors for the Rams.

Wieczorek, the single-season school record holder for goals, led Farmingdale State in goals (69), points (82) and man-up scores (13), was second in game-winning goals (3) and third for assists (13). Wieczorek tied the FSC single-game record with nine goals in the playoffs against Kean. He led all of Division III in man-up goals, ranked fifth in goals per game and 32nd for points per game.

Napolitano caused a team-high 48 turnovers and was second on FSC with 59 ground balls. He anchored a defense that was fourth in the Nation in caused turnovers per game and 52nd for scoring defense. Napolitano led the conference and was 12th in the country for caused turnovers per game.

Curry led the team in assists with 25 and was third in both goals scored (28) and points (53). He picked up 27 ground balls and recorded one game-winning goal on the year.
