- Attardi named Rookie of the Week -


New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Spring weekly report #4 on Monday, March 28th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Pitcher of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics.

Baseball Update (3-9, 0-0 Skyline) - Full Report

The Rams posted a 2-1 mark over their final three games at the RussMatt Invitational in Florida. FSC earned wins over both Union (NY) (17-5) and Washington & Jefferson (6-4).

Freshman outfielder Nick Attardi (Smithtown, N.Y.) was named Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week. Attardi led the Rams with a team-high .636 batting average over three games. He was 3-for-5 with three runs scored and an RBI against Union (NY), 2-for-2 vs. Wash & Jeff and 2-for-4 with a triple and run scored against #19 Oswego State. Attardi also held a .714 on-base percentage.

Freshman third baseman Michael Ciullo (Valley Stream, N.Y.) batted .556 with five hits in nine at-bats.

The baseball team will play seven home games this week: Tuesday vs. Merchant Marine (7pm), Wednesday vs. Ramapo (4pm), Friday DH vs. Yeshiva (10am), Saturday vs. Clarkson (12pm), Saturday vs. Plattsburgh State (3pm) and Sunday vs. Clarkson (1pm).

Softball Update (5-9, 3-1 Skyline) - Full Report

The softball team had last week off and return to action with a pair of conference road doubleheaders this weekend. The Rams will play at Sage on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and at Old Westbury on Sunday at noon.

Men's Tennis Update (3-2, 0-0 Skyline) - Full Report

In their only match last week, Farmingdale State earned a 6-3 non-conference victory at Staten Island.

This week the men's tennis team will host CCNY on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

Women's Lacrosse Update (1-5, 0-0 Skyline) - Full Report

The women's lacrosse team played two games on their spring trip to Florida and fell to Buffalo State (11-6) and Rochester Institute of Technology (16-8).

Junior midfielder Brittany Rosino* (North Babylon, N.Y.) was named to the Player of the Week Honor Roll. Rosino recorded a team-high seven points in FSC's two games. She tallied a goal and an assist versus Buffalo State and followed with a team-high five goals against RIT.

The Rams will play a pair of non-conference games this week: Tuesday vs. New Paltz @ 6:00 p.m. and Thursday at Montclair State @ 7:00 p.m.

Men's Lacrosse Update (5-1, 0-0 Skyline) - Full Report

Farmingdale State traveled to FDU-Florham for a non-conference game and earned a 9-7 victory in their only game of the week.

Junior attack Tyler Rifice* (Bohemia, N.Y.) was named to the Honor Roll after a team-high four points on two goals (1 man-down) and two assists, while adding three ground balls and two caused turnovers in the win.

The men's lacrosse team opens Skyline Conference play this week when they travel to Mount Saint Mary on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
