- Sparrow named Rookie of the Week -


New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Spring weekly report #2 on Monday, March 14th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Pitcher of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics.

Men's Lacrosse Update (3-1, 0-0 Skyline) - Full Report

The men's lacrosse team was 2-0 last week with non-conference victories over SUNY Canton (12-4) and Salve Regina (9-6).

Junior midfielder Mike Curry (Melville, N.Y.) was named to the Player of the Week Honor Roll. Curry recorded a team-high six points on one goal and five assists, while also picking up three ground balls.

This week the Rams will travel to Eastern Connecticut on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

Women's Lacrosse Update (1-1, 0-0 Skyline) - Full Report

In their only game of the week, Farmingdale State earned a 14-13 home victory over Ramapo.

Freshman midfielder Alexandra Sparrow (Levittown, N.Y.) earned Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week honors. Sparrow scored three goals, had one assist, three ground balls, three draw controls and caused two turnovers in the one-goal victory against Ramapo.

Junior attack Janisha Sanchez (Brentwood, N.Y.) was named to the Honor Roll after scoring two goals and tallying a game-high four assists in the victory over Ramapo.

This week FSC will head to Western Connecticut State on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. and host Oneonta on Saturday at noon.

Softball Update (2-8, 0-0 Skyline) - Full Report

The softball team played 10 games at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Florida last week and posted a 2-8 record.

FSC will host Mount Saint Vincent (DH) on Saturday at noon and Purchase (DH) on Sunday at noon.

Baseball Update (0-6, 0-0 Skyline) - Full Report

The baseball team fell, 11-6, to William Paterson and dropped a doubleheader versus Eastern Connecticut last week.

The Rams will host Kean on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. before traveling to Florida for the RussMatt Invitational on March 17-24.

Men's Tennis Update (1-2, 0-0 Skyline)

The men's tennis team started the year at the Elmira Spring Kick Off and posted a 1-2 mark.

The Rams next will travel to York (NY) for a non-conference game on Saturday, March 19th at noon.
