Skyline Releases Spring Weekly Report #1

New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Spring weekly report #1 on Monday, March 7th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Pitcher of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics.

Men's Lacrosse Update (1-1, 0-0 Skyline) - Full Report

The men's lacrosse team posted a 1-1 record on the week after a 12-6 victory over Manhattanville and a 12-10 loss to Salve Regina.

Junior attack Tyler Rifice* (Bohemia, N.Y.) was named to the Player of the Week Honor Roll after scoring a team-high eight goals in the two games. He scored a career-high seven goals (T2 all-time at FSC for single game scoring) in the win over Manhattanville and had one goal and five ground balls against Salve Regina.

The Rams will play two non-conference games this week: March 9th vs. SUNY Canton at the Greater Binghamton Sports Complex - 2:00 p.m. and March 12th home vs. Hartwick at noon.

Women's Lacrosse Update (0-1, 0-0 Skyline)

FSC opened the 2016 season with a 16-8 loss at Scranton last week. Freshman midfielder Alexandra Sparrow (Levittown, N.Y.) scored a game-high four goals and added two draw controls and two ground balls for the Rams.

This week the women's lacrosse team will play host to Ramapo in a non-conference game on Thursday, March 10th at 3:30 p.m.

Baseball Update (0-3, 0-0 Skyline)

The baseball team opened the season with three games at the end of February in Fayetteville, N.C.

This week FSC will host William Paterson on Tuesday at 3:30pm and Eastern Connecticut (DH) on Saturday at noon.

Softball Update (0-0, 0-0 Skyline)

Farmingdale State will begin the year with their spring trip at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Florida on March 9-14.

Men's Tennis Update (1-2, 0-0 Skyline)

The men's tennis team started the year at the Elmira Spring Kick Off and posted a 1-2 mark.

The Rams next will travel to York (NY) for a non-conference game on Saturday, March 19th at noon.
