Bates Named Men's Lacrosse Skyline Scholar-Athlete of the Year

New York, N.Y. - A Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award is presented to the First Team All-Conference performer who carries the highest grade point average (minimum 3.30) for the spring semester in the sports of baseball, softball, lacrosse, men's volleyball and men's tennis.

Junior defender Dylan Bates (Wading River, N.Y.) anchored the Farmingdale State defense this season after starting every game and causing a team-high 25 turnovers. Bates also picked up 41 ground balls in his first season with the Rams. Academically, he posted an outstanding 3.67 grade point average for the spring semester.
