Rams Fall at #20 Wesleyan

Middletown, Conn. - The Farmingdale State men's lacrosse team fell, 13-2, in a non-conference game at Wesleyan University on Tuesday afternoon. The Rams now stand at 4-3 on the season, while the Cardinals improved to 6-2.

Senior midfielder Aidan Daniell (Rye, NH) scored the first two goals of the game to quickly put Wesleyan ahead 2-0. Senior attack Graham Macnab (Winter Park, Fla.) scored an unassisted goal with 4:52 left in the first period and only 36 seconds later Niall Devaney (North Falmouth, Mass.) tallied a goal to increase the lead to 4-0.

Wesleyan added three second period goals and held Farmingdale State scoreless to take a 7-0 advantage into halftime.

Trailing 12-0 in the fourth period, freshman midfielder Patrick Cowcer (East Northport, N.Y.) put the Rams on the board with an unassisted score and junior midfielder Mike Strebel (East Northport, N.Y.) added the games final goal with 9:10 remaining as the Rams fell, 13-2.

Daniell and junior attack Matt Prezioso (New Canaan, Conn.) each had a game-high two goals for the Cardinals.

Farmingdale State next will play their first Skyline Conference game of the year as they travel to Maritime on Saturday, March 29th at 1:00 p.m.
