Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's lacrosse team led 10-2 at halftime en route to a 15-4 victory over Mount Saint Vincent this afternoon in Farmingdale, N.Y. The Rams improved to 5-8 overall and 3-2 in the Skyline Conference with the victory.

Leading 6-2 after the first period, Farmingdale State held the Dolphins (7-10, 0-6) scoreless in the second and added scores from senior midfielder Jason Opitz (West Hempstead, N.Y.), freshman midfielder Donovan Devaney (Northport, N.Y.), freshman attack Brad Rapone (Roslyn Heights, N.Y.) and junior midfielder Bobby Thomas (Wantagh, N.Y.) for a 10-2 halftime lead.

The Rams outscored Mount Saint Vincent 5-2 in the second half for the 15-4 conference win. Farmingdale State held a 43-21 ground ball advantage over the Dolphins in the game.

Thomas scored a game-high four goals and picked up four ground balls, while Rapone and Opitz each had three goals and an assist. Devaney scored two goals, had a game-high eight ground balls and was a perfect 8-for-8 on faceoff's. Senior midfielder Tim Caden (Setauket, N.Y.) tallied two assists for Farmingdale State.

The Rams next will play their final regular season game as they travel to Maritime on Saturday, April 21st at 1:00 p.m.
