Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's lacrosse team dropped a non-conference home game today, 11-5, against Oswego State. The Lakers went up 4-1 in the first period and scored four more in the second for an 8-1 halftime lead. Freshman goalkeeper Patrick Delventhal (Westbury, N.Y./Holy Trinity) came in for the Rams in the third period, and held Oswego to three goals making 10 saves during the final two periods.

Farmingdale State freshman attack Erick Thomson (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park) scored three goals, one assist and four ground balls, while sophomore midfielder Joey Stroessenreuther (Bethpage, N.Y./Bethpage) and sophomore attack Eddie Rifice (Babylon, N.Y./Babylon) added a goal each. Freshman defender Chris JapNgie (Massapequa, N.Y./Holy Trinity) led the defense with five caused turnovers and five ground balls. Freshman midfielder Joe Nacarlo (West Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon) had a team-high eight ground balls and won 8-of-9 faceoffs.

For Oswego, sophomore attacker Cam Davoy (Webster, N.Y./C.W. Baker) led the way with five goals. Senior attack Derek Card (Syracuse, N.Y./Henninger) and senior midfielder Mike Recor (Kirkville, N.Y./East Syracuse-Minoa) scored two apiece. Senior midfielder Mike Brewster (East Syracuse, N.Y./East Syracuse-Minoa) dished off four assists. Senior defender Eddie Walsh (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua Academy) caused six turnovers and picked up three ground balls on defense.

The Rams host Hendrix College tomorrow, Wednesday, March 11th at 3:00 p.m.
