Men's Lacrosse Season Recap

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The men’s lacrosse program finished with an overall record of 3-10. The team, under first year head coach Tim Tuttle, was small in numbers but laid the groundwork for future success as Farmingdale State looks to become the lacrosse powerhouse that it was in the past.

Individually, junior Sean Maxwell led the team in scoring, including 23 goals from his attack position. Freshman Eddie Rifice and Joey Stroessenreuther each scored over 20 goals in their rookie season. Senior Joe Meola will leave Farmingdale State as the All-Time leading scorer with 186 points, including 98 goals and 88 assists.

Sophomore goalkeeper Teddy Leone had a solid year in goal, leading the Skyline Conference in save percentage and total saves. Leone, Maxwell and senior defender James Vaz were all named Second Team All-Conference for their accomplishments this season.
