Rams Can’t Hold Off Oswego State

Farmingdale, NY – The Farmingdale State men's lacrosse team dropped to 4-6 this afternoon with a loss against visiting Oswego State (2-5) in Farmingdale, NY. Oswego State junior attack Steve Tronovitch (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Forks) scored the game-winning goal with 2:03 left in the game of a pass by senior attack Jeff Salisbury (Oswego, NY/Oswego) to give the Lakers the come-from-behind victory after being down by three at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Sophomore attack John Schumacher (Webster, NY/Webster-Thomas) led Oswego State with four goals and four assists. Tronovitch finished with four goals and two assists. Salisbury added three goals and three assists. Sophomore goalie Matt Pfister (Patchogue, NY/ Patchogue-Medford) finished with 13 saves for the Lakers.

Rams junior goalie Kevin Winters (Baldwin, NY/Baldwin) had 14 saves on the day. Sophomore attack Gianluca Carrabs (Glen Cove, NY/Glen Cove) led the Farmingdale State offense with two goal and four assists. Sophomore attack Jeremy Goohs (Merrick, NY/Calhoun) added three goals for the Rams.

Farmingdale State hosts Maritime on Wednesday, April 5, 2006 for a Knickerbocker Lacrosse Conference match-up at 3:30pm.
