Rams Win Knickerbocker Game at Manhattanville

Purchase, NY - The Farmingdale State men's lacrosse team improved to 3-4, 1-1 in the Knickerbocker with a 14-8 win against Manhattanville College (1-8, 0-3 Knickerbocker) in Purchase, NY on Saturday afternoon. The Rams used to four goal periods to hold an 8-4 lead at halftime and would add six more goals in the final two periods to win their first-ever Knickerbocker Lacrosse Conference game.

Senior midfielder Ryan LaFlare (Lindenhurst, NY/Lindenhurst) led the Rams with four goals and one assist. Freshman attacker Kevin Sharkey (Bellmore, NY/Mepham) finished the game with four assists and one goal. Sophomore midfielder Joe Gritser (Bethpage, NY/Bethpage) won 19-of-24 faceoffs. Junior goalkeeper Kevin Winters (Baldwin, NY/Baldwin) got the win in net making seven saves in 41 minutes of play.

Farmingdale State hosts Wesley College on Sunday afternoon, March 26th, for a non-conference game at 2:00pm.
