Riefenstahl Named Defensive Player of the Year; Graham Earns Second Team All-Skyline Honors

New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference's 11 men's basketball head coaches have cast their votes on the 2018-19 all-conference team. Farmingdale State senior forward George Riefenstahl (Bayport, N.Y.) was named to the First Team and was tabbed Skyline Defensive Player of the Year, while senior guard Matthew Graham (Valley Stream, N.Y.) earned Second Team All-Conference honors.

Riefenstahl started every game this season and led the team in rebounding (11.0 rpg) and blocked shots (2.3 bpg) and ranked second in scoring (14.4 ppg), field goal percentage (53.2%) and free-throw percentage (81.1%). He ranked second in the Skyline in rebounds and blocked shots per game, third in free-throw percentage and fourth in field-goal percentage. In the NCAA, he ranked 12th for both total rebounds (297) and offensive rebounds per game (4.07), 16th in total blocks (62), 17th for rebounds per game, 18th in double-doubles and 20th for blocked shots per game. Riefenstahl recorded 15 double-doubles and had 3 or more blocks on 10 occasions.

Graham started 26-of-27 games this season and led the team in scoring (15.9 ppg), free-throw percentage (89.5%) and A/TO ratio (1.7), ranked second in 3-point field goal percentage (37.7%), assists (2.7 apg) and steals (1.0 spg) and third in field goal percentage (44.3%). In the Skyline, ranked first in free-throw percentage, third in A/TO ratio, fifth in 3-point field goal percentage, seventh in 3-point field goals made per game and 14th for scoring. Graham also ranked 18th in the Nation for free-throw percentage.
