FSC Athletics Winter Update #5

New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #5 on Monday, December 17th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball. The New Jersey Athletic Conference released their Track, Field and Rookie Athletes of the Week for men's and women's indoor track.

Men's Basketball Update (7-4, 5-1 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

In two games last week, Farmingdale State was narrowly defeated by conference opponent Yeshiva, 88-83, before falling in a non-conference game to Ramapo, 74-60.  

Senior forward George Riefenstahl (Bayport, N.Y.) was named to the Skyline Conference Honor Roll after averaging 11.5 points, 15 rebounds and 3.5 blocks.

The Rams return to action on Thursday, January 3rd when they play host to Sarah Lawrence College in a Skyline game at 1:00 p.m. on Staff and Student Appreciation Day.

 

Women's Basketball Update (1-7, 1-4 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

The FSC women's basketball team earned their first conference win of the season as they defeated Yeshiva University on Tuesday evening, 61-56.

Farmingdale State next competes in the NYU Holiday Classic at Hunter College. The Rams will play host-school NYU on Saturday, December 29th at 5:00 p.m. and follow with a game against Mount Union on Sunday, December 30th at noon.

 

Indoor Track Update

The indoor track teams had the week off and next will compete at the Wagner College Invitational at Ocean Breeze Park Track & Field Complex in Staten Island, N.Y. on Friday, January 4th.
