- Percival named NJAC Track Athlete of the Week -


New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #3 on Monday, December 3rd, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball. The New Jersey Athletic Conference released their Track, Field and Rookie Athletes of the Week for men's and women's indoor track.

Men's Basketball Update (7-2, 5-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

In three Skyline games last week, the men's basketball team was a perfect 3-0. The Rams opened with a 93-80 win at Old Westbury and followed with victories over both Merchant Marine (96-58) and Purchase (101-82).

Senior guard Matthew Graham (Valley Stream, N.Y.) and senior forward George Riefenstahl (Bayport, N.Y.) were each named to the Honor Roll after reaching the 1,000 point career scoring mark on Tuesday at OW.

This week FSC will play two home games: Tuesday vs. Yeshiva at 8:00 p.m. and Saturday vs. Ramapo at 2:00 p.m.

 

Women's Basketball Update (0-7, 0-4 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

Farmingdale State fell in each of their three conference games last week. This week the women's basketball team will host Yeshiva on Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m.

 

Indoor Track Update - NJAC Full Report

This past Sunday the indoor track teams traveled to St. Anthony's High School in South Huntington, N.Y. for the St. John's "Bill Ward" Invitational.

Junior Justin Percival (Melville, N.Y.) was named NJAC Track Athlete of the Week. He placed first in a field of six sprinters in the 60 meter dash with a winning time of 6.92. He also was a member of the Rams' runner-up 4x400 meter relay which placed second in a field of six teams with a time of 3:34.71. The winning performance by Percival in the 60 meter dash currently stands as the third-best time recorded in the event in all of NCAA Division III this season.

The Rams next will head to the Ocean Breeze Park Track & Field Complex in Staten Island, N.Y. for the Wagner College Invitational on Friday, January 4th.
