- Riefenstahl named Player of the Week -  


New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #2 on Monday, November 26th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball.

Men's Basketball Update (3-1, 1-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

The men's basketball team posted a 1-1 mark last week with a Skyline victory over St. Joseph's-Brooklyn (102-89) and a non-conference loss at #16 New Jersey City (85-77).

Senior forward George Riefenstahl (Bayport, N.Y.) was named Skyline Conference Player of the Week. Riefenstahl led the Rams in scoring (25.0 ppg), rebounding (13.0 rpg) and blocks (6), while shooting 68% from the field in FSC's two games. In the win at St. Joseph's-Brooklyn, he scored a career-high 37 points on 14-of-19 shooting, had 16 rebounds and four blocks. At #16 NJCU, Riefenstahl tallied his second double-double of the week with 13 points and a game-high 10 boards. His 37 points is now tied for third place all-time in a single game at Farmingdale State.

This week the Rams will play a pair of home games: Wednesday vs. Wesleyan @ 7:00 p.m. and Saturday vs. Maritime @ noon.

 

Women's Basketball Update (0-3, 0-1 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

In FSC's lone game last week, the women's basketball team traveled to St. Joseph's-Brooklyn for a conference matchup and fell, 79-59. This week Farmingdale State will play one game as they go to Albertus Magnus on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

 

Indoor Track Update

The indoor track teams will begin the year Saturday when they head to the Ocean Breeze Park Track & Field Complex in Staten Island, N.Y. for the Fastrack Season Opener
