FSC Athletics Winter Update #1

New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #1 on Tuesday, November 20th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball.

Men's Basketball Update (2-0, 0-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

The FSC men's basketball team opened the 2018-19 season by winning the Stockton Tip-Off Tournament this past weekend. The Rams defeated Neumann, 73-62, in the first game and followed with a 73-58 victory over Stockton in the championship game.

Senior forward George Riefenstahl (Bayport, N.Y.) was named to the Player of the Week Honor Roll. He averaged 14.0 points, while shooting 55% from the floor and had 9.5 rebounds a contest. In the opening game versus Neumann, Riefenstahl tallied 10 points, four rebounds and two blocks and in the championship game, he had 18 points and a game-high 15 boards.

This week the Rams play two road games: Tuesday at St. Joseph's-Brooklyn @ 7:00 p.m. and Saturday at New Jersey City @ 2:00 p.m.

 

Women's Basketball Update (0-2, 0-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

The women's basketball team was 0-2 last week after falling to RPI (67-45) and #1 Amherst (64-35) in a pair of non-conference games.

Sophomore forward Alexis Hunter (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led the way for FSC after averaging just under a double-double with 9.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.

In their lone game this week, the Rams will travel to St. Joseph's-Brooklyn for a Skyline Conference matchup on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.

 

Indoor Track Update

The indoor track teams will begin the year on Saturday, December 1st when they travel to the Ocean Breeze Park Track & Field Complex in Staten Island, N.Y. for the Fastrack Season Opener.
