Farmingdale State Men's Basketball Selected Second in Preseason Poll

New York, N.Y. - The 11 Skyline Conference men's basketball head coaches recently cast their votes for the 2018-19 preseason poll and Yeshiva University is predicted to repeat as conference champions.

The Maccabees received six first-place votes and 95 voting points, while Farmingdale State (93 voting points) received the remaining five first-place tallies and were selected to finish second.

In 2017-18, FSC was 18-8 overall and 16-4 in conference play as they earned the #1 seed for the playoffs. The Rams fell to the eventual champion, Yeshiva, in the Semifinals.

Farmingdale State will open their 2018-19 schedule at the Stockton Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday-Sunday, November 17th and 18th. Host-school Stockton will play York at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while FSC will compete against Neumann at 7:00 p.m. The two losing teams will meet in the consolation game on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. and the two winning teams will play to determine the tournaments champion at 3:00 p.m.

The Rams open their conference schedule just two days later on Tuesday, November 20th at St. Joseph's-Brooklyn tipping off at 7:00 p.m. Farmingdale State holds their home opener against non-conference opponent Wesleyan University on Wednesday, November 28th at 7:00 p.m. 

The six-team Skyline Conference Men's Basketball Championship will take place on campus sites from Feb. 19-23.
