Farmingdale, N.Y. - Farmingdale State senior forward George Riefenstahl (Bayport, N.Y.) has been named an Honorable Mention on the Street & Smith Division III Preseason All-America Team.
In 2017-18, Riefenstahl was named First Team All-Skyline Conference, Second Team All-Met and D3hoops.com Third Team All-Atlantic Region. He averaged a double-double by leading Farmingdale State in scoring (14.1 points per game) and rebounding (10.2 rebounds per game). Riefenstahl also led the Rams in both field goal percentage (.575) and blocks (44), was third in free-throw percentage (.773) and fifth in assists with 38.
Riefenstahl finished the season Nationally ranked in the top-50 in four categories: 24th in defensive rebounds per game (7.57) and blocked shots per game (2.1), 26th for rebounds per game and 48th in field goal percentage.
Riefenstahl begins his senior year when Farmingdale State opens up against Neumann (at Stockton College) on Saturday, November 17th at 7:00 p.m.
