FSC Athletics Winter Update #8

New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #8 on Monday, January 22nd, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball.

Men's Basketball Update (10-5, 8-3 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

The men's basketball team was 1-1 in two conference games last week. The Rams defeated Merchant Marine, 82-64, before falling at The College of Mount Saint Vincent (73-62).

This week Farmingdale State is slated to play two games: Wednesday at #14 Wesleyan @ 7:00 p.m. and Saturday vs. Old Westbury @ noon.

 

Women's Basketball Update (8-9, 7-3 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

FSC had last week off and this past Monday the Rams fell, 83-69, at St. Joseph's-Long Island.

The women's basketball team is scheduled to play two more games this week: Thursday at Old Westbury @ 6:00 p.m. and Sunday vs. Yeshiva @ noon. Farmingdale State head coach Chris Mooney currently has 299 wins over his 18-year coaching career.

 

Indoor Track Update

The indoor track teams traveled to Ocean Breeze for the NYC Gotham Cup last week. The men were led by senior Jyaire Ewa's (Rochdale, N.Y.) second place finish in the weight throw (17.57m), while for the women, senior Megan Eiseman (Seaford, N.Y.) improved her #2 time on the FSC All-Time List in the 1000m (3:20.74).

Farmingdale State next will return to Ocean Breeze for the Fastrack National Invitational on Friday, February 9th.
