#6 Ramapo Improves to 8-1 With Win Over FSC

#6 Ramapo - 87, Farmingdale State - 49


Mahwah, N.J. - The Farmingdale State men's basketball team traveled to #6 Ramapo for a non-conference game on Friday night and fell, 87-49. The Roadrunners improved to 8-1 on the year, while the Rams now stand at 5-4.

Ramapo held an early 13-12 advantage and used a 9-0 run to extend the lead to 22-12 with 12:36 remaining in the first half. After each team scored on their next possession, back-to-back Rob Lewis (Scotch Plains, N.J.) jumpers and a layup from Connor Romano (Old Bridge, N.J.) put the Roadrunners out in front, 30-14. Ramapo outscored FSC 16-10 over the final 8:55 of the half and took a 46-24 lead into the break.

With 16:50 remaining and the Roadrunners up 52-30, a 13-2 run over the next 5:24 increased the lead to 65-32. RC held at least a 28-point advantage the remainder of the game en route to the 87-49 home victory.

FSC junior forward George Riefenstahl (Bayport, N.Y.) scored a game-high 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting to go along with six rebounds and a game-high four blocks. Junior guard Matthew Graham (Valley Stream, N.Y.) added 14 points, two assists and two steals in the loss.

Ramapo was led by senior forward Christopher Moseley (Fair Lawn, N.J.) who scored 15 points (7-for-12), had nine boards and three steals.

The Rams next return to action on Tuesday, January 2nd at 1:00 p.m. when they host Skyline opponent Sarah Lawrence on Faculty Appreciation Day.
