New York, N.Y. - The 11 Skyline Conference head men's basketball coaches have cast their votes for the 2017-18 preseason coaches poll and Farmingdale State College has unanimously been selected to repeat as conference champions this season.

Farmingdale State (20-8, 14-2 Skyline) received all 10 possible first-place votes, as coaches are not permitted to vote for their own team. FSC returns junior forward and team captain George Riefenstahl (Bayport, N.Y.) who averaged 12.6 points and 9.7 rebounds per game in 2016-17 as well as a pair of double-digit scorers in junior guards Ali Mableton (Brentwood, N.Y.) (12.0 ppg) and Matthew Graham (Valley Stream, N.Y.) (10.8 ppg).

Purchase (88), who received one first place vote, Yeshiva (71), Old Westbury (68) and St. Joseph's-Long Island (60) rounded out the top five.

The six-team 2018 Skyline Conference Men's Basketball Championship opens up with first-round action on Feb. 20, with the semifinals and final taking place on Feb. 22 and 24, respectively. The winner receives the Skyline's automatic bid to the 2018 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship.
