New York, N.Y. - The Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association recently released the 2016-17 Division III men's basketball award winners. Farmingdale State sophomore forward George Riefenstahl (Bayport, N.Y.) earned Second Team All-Met honors.
Riefenstahl started every game for FSC and led the team in scoring (12.6 ppg), field goal percentage (.571), field goals made (145) and blocked shots (51) and was second in rebounding (9.7 rpg). He led the conference in field goal percentage, was fourth in rebounding and fifth for blocks. In his two seasons at Farmingdale State, Riefenstahl has been named Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year and a First Team selection this past season.
