Riefenstahl Named ECAC Metro Honorable Mention

Danbury, Conn. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its 2016-17 Division III Metro Men's Basketball All-ECAC selections and major award winners.

Farmingdale State sophomore forward George Riefenstahl (Bayport, N.Y.) was named All-ECAC Honorable Mention. Riefenstahl started all 28 games and averaged a team-high 12.6 points to go along with 9.7 rebounds per game. He shot a conference-best 57% from the floor and blocked a team-leading 51 shots. Riefenstahl recorded 10 double-doubles and had double-digit rebounds in 14 games. 

Frank Schettino, from the College of Staten Island, was named ECAC Division III Metro Player of the year.
