Skyline Releases Winter Weekly Report #9

New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #9 on Tuesday, January 24th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball.

Men's Basketball Update (12-5, 8-0 Skyline) - Full Report

The Rams carded a pair of conference wins last week with victories over both Mount Saint Mary (85-67) and Sarah Lawrence (73-62).

Sophomore forward George Riefenstahl (Bayport, N.Y.) was named to the Player of the Week Honor Roll. Riefenstahl scored a game-high 18 points (8-of-10 shooting) and had 10 rebounds at MSMC and followed with 19 points (7-of-13 shooting) and a game-high 19 rebounds at SLC. He averaged 18.5 points and 14.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week for Farmingdale State.

FSC defeated Yeshiva on Monday and will play two more Skyline games this week: Wednesday vs. Purchase @ 8:00 p.m. and Saturday at Merchant Marine @ 2:00 p.m.

Women's Basketball Update (8-7, 6-3 Skyline) - Full Report

FSC was 1-1 last week after an 83-82 loss to Mount Saint Vincent and a 65-54 victory over Baruch.

This week the Rams will play two conference games: Wednesday vs. St. Joseph's-LI @ 5:30 p.m. and Sunday vs. Yeshiva (at Baruch) @ 1:00 p.m.

Indoor Track & Field Update

The track & field teams competed at the NYC Gotham Cup at Ocean Breeze last week.

The women's distance medley relay team of Megan Eiseman (Seaford, N.Y.), Giselle Barrios (Central Islip, N.Y.), Nicole Franz (Melville, N.Y.) and Erin Lettieri (West Islip, N.Y.) broke the school record with a time of 13:57.05.

Farmingdale State will return to action on February 5th when they compete at the East Stroudsburg DeSchriver Invitational.
