New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #5 on Monday, December 19th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball.
Men's Basketball Update (4-4, 2-0 Skyline) - Full Report
FSC posted a 1-1 mark in a pair of non-conference games last week. The Rams opened with a 77-71 victory over CCNY before falling, 88-73, to Ramapo.
Senior forward Weldon Irvine* (Queens, N.Y.) was named to the Honor Roll after posting a clutch double-double of 15 points and 17 boards in the Rams' win over CCNY, including a key offensive rebound and put-back in the final 10 seconds.
The men's basketball team returns to action on Thursday, December 29th with a matchup against Bates (7:00 p.m.) at the NYU Classic. FSC will then square off against NYU on Friday at 9:00 p.m.
Women's Basketball Update (4-3, 3-0 Skyline) - Full Report
In Farmingdale State's only game last week, the Rams were defeated at Albertus Magnus, 75-59.
Junior guard Tyra Harrison (Baldwin, N.Y.) was tabbed to the Honor Roll after scoring 16 points on 7-of-12 shooting in the loss.
FSC next will host Sage (at Old Westbury) on Wednesday, January 4th at 2:00 p.m.
Indoor Track & Field Update
The indoor track teams had the week off and next will compete at the Wagner College Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Park Track & Field Complex on Friday, January 6th.
