Rams Earn Skyline Win at Mount Saint Vincent

Farmingdale State - 76, Mount Saint Vincent - 64


Riverdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's basketball team improved to 2-0 in the conference and 3-2 overall after earning a 76-64 road victory at Mount Saint Vincent on Saturday afternoon.

Trailing 34-33 early in the second half, the Rams used a 10-0 run to take a nine-point lead with 16:24 remaining. After Mount Saint Vincent (1-4, 0-2) cut the deficit to 45-38, FSC's Ryan Kennedy (Maspeth, N.Y.) hit a pair of free-throws and sophomore guard Matthew Graham (Valley Stream, N.Y.) followed with a 3 on the Rams' next possession to extend the advantage to 50-38.

Leading by nine with 11:41 left on the clock, Farmingdale State recorded 11 unanswered points over the next 1:36 to open up their largest lead of the game at 61-41. The Rams led by as many as 22 down the stretch in the 76-64 conference victory.

Sophomore guard Ali Mableton (Brentwood, N.Y.) tallied a team-high 14 points and had four steals, while Kennedy totaled 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting, including 2-for-3 from behind the arc. Junior guard Trey Kinard (Deer Park, N.Y.) scored 11 points and senior forward Weldon Irvine* (Queens, N.Y.) added five points and a team-leading 12 rebounds for FSC.

The Dolphins were led by sophomore guard Trevor Johnson (Marlboro, Md.) who poured in a game-high 16 points.

Farmingdale State next will travel to Drew for a non-conference game on Thursday, December 8th at 8:00 p.m.
