Farmingdale, N.Y. - Earlier this month, the Farmingdale State men's basketball team stepped away from the court to give back to their community. The Rams split up into classrooms at Abbey Lane Elementary in Levittown and each group held a book reading for the kids.
When asked about the event, Head Coach Brendan Twomey stated "I'm glad my guys do more than just basketball. It's very important that they get involved in the community and reading to elementary school children was a great experience for both the kids and my team."
The men's basketball team will be hosting "CYO Day" on Saturday, January 7th prior to their game against Old Westbury at Noon.
