Skyline Releases Winter Weekly Report #1

New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #1 on Monday, November 21st, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball.

Men's Basketball Update (1-1, 0-0 Skyline) - Full Report

The Rams opened the 2016-17 season at the Widener Tip-Off Tournament. FSC fell to Rowan in the first game and rebounded with a victory over Medgar Evers in the consolation game.

Sophomore forward George Riefenstahl (Bayport, N.Y.) was named Skyline Conference Player of the Week. Riefenstahl tallied 13-of-22 field goals (.591) en route to a pair of double-doubles behind averages of 17.5 points and 16.0 rebounds per outing. He was named to the Widener Tip-Off All-Tournament Team after an opening-night effort of 18 points and a career-best 22 boards against Rowan. Riefenstahl added 17 points and 10 rebounds in a victory to wrap up the weekend against Medgar Evers.

This week the men's basketball team will play one game when they travel to Lehman College for a non-conference matchup on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.

Women's Basketball Update (1-2, 0-0 Skyline) - Full Report

FSC posted a 1-2 mark on the week with their victory coming over Albertus Magnus in the consolation game at the Amherst Tip-Off Invitational.

Junior guard Tyra Harrison (Baldwin, N.Y.) was named to the Honor Roll after leading the team in scoring, assists and steals. She opened the week by scoring 15 points and recording game-highs in both assists (6) and steals (5) at William Paterson. At the Amherst Tip-Off Invitational where she was named to the All-Tournament Team, Harrison scored 13 points versus Babson and followed with 15 points, five assists and a game-high four steals in the win over Albertus Magnus.

The Rams have the week off and return to action on Thursday, December 1st at 5:00 p.m. with their Skyline opener at Merchant Marine.
