- Riefenstahl named Rookie of the Week -


New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #11 on Monday, February 8th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball. The New Jersey Athletic Conference released the Track Athlete, Field Athlete and Rookie of the Week selections for men's and women's indoor track.

Men's Basketball Update (10-11, 10-6 Skyline) - Full Report

The men's basketball team picked up a pair of wins with victories over both Sarah Lawrence (70-65) and Mount Saint Mary (71-54) last week.

Freshman forward George Riefenstahl (Bayport, N.Y.) was named Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week. Riefenstahl averaged 16.0 points, 12.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game in a 2-0 Skyline week for the Rams. He shot 12-for-20 (60%) from the field and 8-of-9 (89%) at the free-throw line. Riefenstahl netted a game-high 18 points and grabbed a career-best 16 rebounds at Sarah Lawrence and added 14 points and nine boards vs. Mount Saint Mary.

This week the Rams will host two conference games: Thursday vs. St. Joseph's-LI @ 8:00 p.m. and Saturday vs. St. Joseph's-Brooklyn @ 2:00 p.m.

Women's Basketball Update (7-13, 6-6 Skyline) - Full Report

FSC earned a 67-60 victory over Mount Saint Mary in their only game of the week.

Senior guard Camille Romero (Queens, N.Y.) was named to the Honor Roll after scoring a game-high 19 points and adding four rebounds versus Mount Saint Mary.

The women's basketball team will play three games this week: Tuesday at Brooklyn College @ 6:00 p.m., Thursday vs. St. Joe's-LI @ 6:00 p.m. and Saturday vs. St. Joe's-Brooklyn @ noon.

Indoor Track Update -

The Farmingdale State indoor track teams had last week off and next will travel to St. Anthony's in Melville, N.Y. for the Molloy Invitational on Friday, February 12th.
