New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #7 on Monday, January 11th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball.
Men's Basketball Update (5-8, 5-3 Skyline) - Full Report
The men's basketball team posted a 2-1 mark last week with Skyline Conference victories over Mount Saint Mary (67-66) and Mount Saint Vincent (73-64). On Saturday, the Rams fell, 63-55, to Purchase in their only loss of the week.
FSC will play three conference games this week: @ St. Joseph's-LI on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m., vs. Maritime on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and vs. Sage on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
Women's Basketball Update (5-8, 4-2 Skyline) - Full Report
In a pair of games last week, the Rams were defeated at Mount Saint Mary (54-45) and rebounded with a home win over Mount Saint Vincent (86-59).
Sophomore guard Tyra Harrison (Baldwin, N.Y.) was named to the Honor Roll after averaging a team-best 21.5 points per game. Harrison scored a game-high 31 points, had six assists and five rebounds against Purchase and tallied 12 points, seven assists and five boards at Mount Saint Mary.
This week the women's basketball team will travel to St. Joe's-LI on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. and host Sage on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
Indoor Track Update
This week Farmingdale State will compete on Saturday, January 16th at the St. Joseph's Invitational held at St. Anthony's in Melville, N.Y.
