Farmingdale State - 67, Mount Saint Mary - 66

Newburgh, N.Y. - Trailing 66-65, Farmingdale State freshman guard Matthew Graham (Valley Stream, N.Y.) hit a layup with 29 seconds remaining to put the Rams ahead by one. On Mount Saint Mary's final possession, the FSC defense forced a missed jump shot and Liam Monaghan (Rockaway Beach, N.Y.) secured the rebound and the 67-66 road victory for Farmingdale State.

The Rams have now won four straight Skyline games and hold a 4-2 mark in the conference.

The Knights (4-7, 2-5) led 48-34 with 15:40 remaining, before a 10-0 Farmingdale State (4-7) run highlighted by a pair of Monaghan 3's cut the deficit to 48-44.

After a Tyler McDine (Suffern, N.Y.) 3-pointer at the 8:26 mark put MSMC ahead 59-51, a layup by Graham and five straight Anthony Lanieri (Port Jefferson, N.Y.) points pulled the Rams within one, 59-58.

Trailing 64-60 with 3:10 left to play, Farmingdale State sophomore guard Trey Kinard (Deer Park, N.Y.) connected on a 3 and Graham later followed with a layup to give the Rams their first lead since early in the first half at 65-64. With 59 seconds remaining, the Knights regained the lead on a Daniel Wolff (Holtsville, N.Y) layup until Graham's game-winner 30 seconds later earned the 67-66 road victory for Farmingdale State.

Graham tallied a game-high 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting and had seven rebounds, while Lanieri finished with 14 points after shooting 6-of-9 from the floor. Freshman forward George Riefenstahl (Bayport, N.Y.) and junior forward Weldon Irvine (Queens, N.Y.) had 11 and 10 rebounds, respectively in the win.

Mount Saint Mary was led by Wolff's team-high 12 points.

The Rams next will travel to Mount Saint Vincent for a conference game on Thursday, January 7th at 7:00 p.m.
