New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Winter weekly report #5 on Monday, December 14th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's basketball.

Men's Basketball Update (3-6, 3-2 Skyline) - Full Report

Farmingdale State was a perfect 3-0 last week with Skyline victories over Purchase (72-59), St. Joseph's-Brooklyn (105-101 OT) and Sarah Lawrence (82-54).

Freshman guard Matthew Graham (Valley Stream, N.Y.) was named Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week. Graham set the FSC single game school record for assists with 13 at St. Joseph's-Brooklyn and shot 59% from the field, including 83% from 3-point range on the week. He scored 13 points on 5-for-5 shooting, had four assists and four steals in the home win over Sarah Lawrence and tallied 10 points, five steals and 13 assists in the victory at St. Joseph's-Brooklyn.

Sophomore guard Trey Kinard (Deer Park, N.Y.) averaged a team-high 17.7 points per game in the 3-0 week. Kinard scored a game-high 25 points in the OT victory at St. Joe's-Brooklyn and followed with 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting in the win against Sarah Lawrence.

The Rams return to action on Wednesday, December 30th with a non-conference game at Montclair State tipping off at 1:00 p.m.

Women's Basketball Update (4-5, 3-1 Skyline) - Full Report

The women's basketball team won both games last week as they defeated Purchase 73-61 and followed with a 75-62 victory over St. Joseph's-Brooklyn.

Sophomore guard Tyra Harrison (Baldwin, N.Y.) earned Skyline Conference Player of the Week honors for the second consecutive week. Harrison scored a game-high 32 points and had eight assists against St. Joe's-Brooklyn and tallied a game-high 29 points, eight assists and eight steals versus Purchase. Harrison averaged 30.5 points and eight assists per game and is currently ranked fourth in the Nation for scoring.

FSC next will travel to Scranton for a 2-day tournament on December 15th and December 16th.

Indoor Track Update

The indoor track teams competed at the St. John's "Bill Ward" Invitational and the Wagner Shootout last week.

Sophomore Jyaire Ewa (North Massapequa, N.Y.) was named the NJAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week. He won both the shot put and weight throw at the Bill Ward Invite, before taking third place in the weight throw at the Wagner Shootout. Both of his weight throw distances were ECAC qualifying and he currently stands at #7 on the NCAA Indoor Qualifying List for the weight throw.

Freshman Philip Sellitto (Levittown, N.Y.) earned Men's Rookie of the Week honors after placing second in the 200m, ran on the fifth place ECAC qualifying 4x400m relay and just missed the finals for the 60m with a ninth place finish in 7.36 at the Wagner Shootout. At the Bill Ward Invite, he ran a 7.35 60m race and took ninth in the 200m with a time of 23.46.

For the women, junior Maia Cadle-Hinton (Huntington, N.Y.) was tabbed NJAC Field Athlete of the Week. Cadle-Hinton placed fourth in the weight throw at the Bill Ward Invite with a toss of 13.18m.

Freshman Tunisia Solomon (Amityville, N.Y.) was named Rookie of the Week after a third place finish in the triple jump at the Wagner Shootout and a fifth place finish in the same event at the Bill Ward Invitational.

Farmingdale State next will compete at the St. Joseph's Invitational at St. Anthony's on January 16th.
